A Tribute: Thomas J. Hannon
We lost our leader. The team at Hannon & Associates and our family of clients has been grieving the passing of Thomas J. Hannon, on May 29, 2025.
He was “Tom” to anyone who walked through the doors at 47 Westchester Avenue in Austintown, welcomed with a warm bear hug or a firm handshake. He was a loving husband to his wife, Dorothy; “Dad” to four daughters, “Papa” to a dozen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, “Mayor” to those who knew him as a public servant, “Tommy” to his siblings, and “Tom Cat” to many of his friends.
Tom was organized, disciplined and prepared. His wisdom was deep. He was dynamic, charismatic, straightforward, witty and authentic. He spoke openly about his faith and prayed daily for God to grant him strength and knowledge, and to accept God’s will. Many sought his counsel and advice personally and professionally—he had a gift for looking ahead and finding solutions. Ensuring his clients would remain in good, caring and capable hands was a priority. Always a planner, he had a business succession plan in place. The transition has been moving forward seamlessly, as Tom would expect, and the baton was passed to Lori. Our team is well prepared to continue his legacy, despite heavy hearts.
